The Greens are economically populist but socially hyperliberal, which is not, I believe, a winning combo for the current political climate. Especially if they dialled back on the social liberalism the Greens could be a serious threat to the ALP, but their members and representatives are all-in on Palestine, refugees, openish borders etc.

i see Brandt / Greens have been labelled as the populist ("tiktok") left after this weeks tax proposal.
Where do you think they fit in a neo-populist future?
* I do agree they could have targeted more specific initiatives - and would have got a far better response (even fom Bankers i read)

mm yes i didn't understand their response to the recent cutback to student numbers - especially targeted at visa factories......
there are internal inconsistencies that dont add up
